Avshalom Felber, CEO & President
Mr. Avshalom Felber has served as President and CEO of IDE Technologies since 2002, during which time the company has seen considerable growth. Mr. Felber brings to the table a wealth of financial knowledge and business experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of the desalination market, in which IDE is a world leader. This combination puts him in an excellent position to promote the development of new and existing markets, as well as promote new desalination and water treatment technologies. Prior to joining IDE Avshalom was CFO at the Israel Ports & Railways Authority, and Deputy Director of the Budget Department at the Israeli Ministry of Finance. Avshalom Felber holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy and an MBA, both with distinction from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He also participated in the Eisenhower Foundation program in the U.S. studying government, budget, transportation and capital markets.
Amnon Levy , Executive VP, COO
With twenty years of experience in the water industry, Amnon Levy has been an active participant in both the proposal and construction processes of the company’s largest projects. He has participated in many JV and collaboration projects, and brings a unique combination of innovative thinking, business sense and engineering know-how to the projects. He was a member of the project management of IDE’s large scale plants at Ashkelon, Hadera, Sorek and Carlsbad, all of which have won awards. Amnon has also been on the steering committees for the implementation of major internal processes such as ERP and PLM systems, as well as pioneered the IDE PROGREEN™ environmentally friendly line of products that do not use chemicals in pretreatment and RO stages. Amnon holds B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, respectively, as well as an Executive MBA.
Fredi Lokiec, Executive VP, Special Projects
Fredi Lokiec brings more than 30 years of experience in the water treatment industry to the management team, the majority of these in the field of desalination. Prior to his current position as Executive Vice President Special Projects, Fredi led the IDE sales team first as a desk manager and later as VP Sales and Marketing. In his current position he manages the business generation and development of IDE Special Projects, including BOT/BOO and mega-projects, and has been a major participant in bringing IDE’s mega projects to fruition. Fredi holds a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering, both from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He has represented IDE at dozens of conferences around the world and, over the years, has presented papers at most of the major international desalination conferences.
Bruno Escojido, Executive VP, Sales & Marketing
Bruno joined IDE at the beginning of 2013, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in senior global sales and business management positions, and a new vision of sales methodology. He believes in a more customer-centric approach and the need to expand the company’s outlook beyond the technical side to include the value we offer our customers. In his most recent position before joining IDE Bruno served for 6 years as the general manager of a €100M global retail chain where he led the company back to growth and profit. Prior to that he held various senior leadership positions in sales in the communications industry, including some of Israel’s major companies, where he was responsible for worldwide sales and presales teams, and led the sales processes of large scale projects. Bruno admits that IDE is very different from the telecommunications and retail markets that have been his stamping ground, but welcomes the challenge of working in a very large and growing market. Bruno was born in Belgium, speaks fluent English, French and Hebrew, and holds a B.Sc. in electro-optical engineering.
Gal holds a BA majoring in economics and accounting from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, after which he completed specialization in accounting and was certified as a CPA by the Israel Auditors’ Council. He also holds an MBA from Tel Aviv University, Israel. Prior to IDE, Gal served as VP of one of Israel’s largest gas distribution companies, where he acquired vast experience in all aspects of financial management, including risk management and the handling of tenders. Gal’s responsibilities at IDE include the management of all financial, accounting, pricing and reporting matters in the Group; responsibility for financing of the projects of the Company and its subsidiaries; and responsibility for insurance control and risk management issues in the Company. Gal also serves a a director of subsidiaries in the Group, and is active in tenders and new business development.
With rich experience in business development, strategy, investments and new product development, Ron joined IDE in 2011 as VP Business Development. His position includes responsibility for pursuing new growth domain, strategic activities and acquisitions. The business and competitive intelligence functions at IDE are also part of the business development unit headed by Ron, as is the sales unit for new “greenhouse” products. Prior to IDE, Ron was a partner in a leading Israeli venture capital firm, co-founder of a telecom company that was a spin-off of a major Israeli telecom company, and held various other senior management positions. Ron holds an M.Sc. in computer science from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
Moshe served as IDE’s VP Finance for 26 years, until 2011 when he handed over the reins to his successor, Gal Zohar, and assumed the position of Executive Vice President. With exceptional negotiating skills, Moshe has been involved in closing the contracts for many IDE projects of all sizes. In his position as EVP he continues to contribute this expertise, and remains involved negotiations on major projects, as well as general company issues at senior management level. Moshe holds a BA in economics and statistics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University majorin gin business administration and finance. In addition, he completed an M.I.L course on international trade and finance and has attended several conferences on international project and export finance.
Dr. Boris Liberman is a graduate of the Institute for Scientific Research in Water Supply, Moscow (Ph.D.) and the Civil Engineering Institute Rostov-on-Don, USSR (B.A. and M.S), and has been in the field of desalination for over 20 years. Currently the VP Membrane Technology for IDE, Dr. Liberman has been in the field of desalination for over 20 years. He is responsible for several technological breakthroughs including the Pressure Center concept, the patented Direct Osmosis Cleaning, and other patent pending innovations such as 16” membranes in a vertical arrangement and IDE PROGREEN™ desalination technology.
Yony Weiss, VP, Thermal CTO
Dr. Weiss holds B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Mechanical Engineering, all from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. Dr. Weiss serves as Vice President and CTO of Thermal Technologies, managing the design, construction and commissioning of various thermal (MED & MVC) desalination plants – some of which are the largest in the world. Prior to joining IDE, Dr. Weiss held various senior management and R&D positions in the Cleantech Industry, and has more than 15 years of experience. He has published several articles in leading scientific journals relating to combustion, thermodynamics, heat transfer and the mineral industry, and has presented at international conferences and exhibitions around the world.
After a long career in the military in various positions including QA Officer responsible for the tank QA department, commander of a tank plant and ultimately the commander of the QA unit in the Ordnance Corp. of military headquarters and reaching the rank of Colonel, Motti joined IDE more than twenty years ago. Today he heads the Quality Assurance and Customer Support departments, as well as being responsible for the O&M of IDE SWRO plants. With his many years of QA experience, coupled with his military background, Motti has set QA standards that are not compromised, and ensure that all IDE projects meet the strictest standards for quality, health and safety and preservation of the environment. He has seen the company through ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management systems, and ISO 14001:2004 certification for environmental management systems. Motti obtained his B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Technion in Haifa, Israel and his M.Sc. in the same field from the Naval Post-Graduate School in Monterey, California. He studied finance management at Tel Aviv University, Israel and has attended numerous conferences and seminars on Quality Assurance, Audits, SPC, ISO and In-Plant Quality Evaluation.
Oded Wegrzyen, VP, Organizational Resources
With more than 15 years of senior management experience in both hi-tech and industry, Oded joined IDE in 2011 to head the organizational resources unit. He has broad experience in all aspects of company resources, and under the umbrella of organizational resources manages the IT, Human Resources, Documentation and IP, and Organization and Methods departments. As part of the HR department, training is also under Oded’s responsibility. In addition he is responsible for all building maintenance, car-leasing programs, catering services for employee dining rooms, security, and communication systems. He is also responsible for the administration of IDE’s subsidiaries. Oded has a BA in Social Sciences from Tel Aviv University, Israel.
Ehud Givon, VP, Operations
Ehud served as VP Operations at IDE until 1996, and after a break of more than 15 years “came home” to IDE with vast experience in the field of desalination and clean energy, equipping him well to lead the Operations Division. The process and engineering divisions, as well as projects and the supply chain are coordinated under the umbrella of Operations. Ehud has served in senior management positions in a variety of companies, and also exhibited his entrepreneurial and innovative skills as a founder member of a company that developed a breakthrough automated system for the detection of a person’s mal-intent. He has also served as senior executive of a multi-disciplinary system integrator house that develops, designs and manufactures integrated automated solutions for hi-tech and military industries. This experience stands Ehud in good stead for heading the multi-disciplinary teams involved in IDE projects. Ehud holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Tel Aviv University, and a degree in Business Administration (majoring in financing) from Bar Ilan University. In addition, he is a certified business and organization oriented mediator, accredited by Tel Aviv University.
