Contributing to our Communities

As part of our commitment to the community, IDE contributes to a range of non-profit organizations.

Read a brief overview of the organizations IDE has contributed to over the past quarter:

  • Engineers without Borders (EWB) – for their work in Tanzania in 2013, its goal being to find solutions for water pollution problems that result in illness and death among children in the village communities. IDE assisted in financing the team’s recent trip to Tanzania as well as the testing of water samples brought back to Israel by the team.
  • Ben Gurion University – IDE awarded a scholarship of $12,000 to a Masters student for studies in desalination and water treatment. Scholarships of this type enable Ben Gurion University to attract high quality candidates capable of carrying out innovative research.
  • A Spark of Hope – IDE has been donating money every year to the Israel Cancer Association’s Spark of Hope project, for four private teachers to home school children suffering from cancer.
  • Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel – IDE contributed 50,000 NIS (about a quarter of the total investment)towards the renovation of the Starlight Multimedia Center which serves the children staying at the hospital., Going forward, we will continue to support and contribute to initiatives we believe can help improve the quality of life in the communities we live and operate in.
