IDE’s website now in Chinese!
From the moment IDE set the Chinese market as one of its top business priorities, it was clear that a Chinese website was a must. To realize this goal, we initiated a process of website localization – adapting our website to the Chinese language and culture.
Since people from all corners of the globe, who speak different languages, view the Internet as a central source of information and services, website localization has become one of the primary tools for global business expansion. Studies indicate that effective localization of a website into the local language – that involves much more than simple text translation and includes adapting it to local requirements and tastes – results in far more successful websites:
- 95% of Chinese online consumers indicate greater comfort level with websites in their language. (Forrester Research, Translation and Localization of Retail Web Sites, 2009)
- 56% of consumers say that the ability to obtain information in their own language is more important than price. (Common Sense Advisory, Can’t Read, Won’t Buy: Why Language Matters on Global Websites, 2006)
Our Chinese website is also an expression of IDE’s commitment to China, to the Chinese market, and to promoting brand awareness throughout the country, as well as attracting prospective business opportunities in the region.
We appreciate the joint efforts of the IDE China team (Vivi and Wang), Marcom Israel and the Documentation department (Daniela), which led to the launch of this new website targeting the Chinese market.
