Inauguration of MED units in Central Asia
Last month, a festive inauguration ceremony marked the successful supply and beginning of operation of IDE's MED desalination plant at a national Power Plant in Kazakhstan.
The plant comprising 2x Multi Effect Distilation (MED) units of a total production capacity of 12,000 cubic meters per day (cum/day) supplies boiler feed water to the power plant as well as drinking water to the nearby city of Aktau, to the eastern shore of the Caspian sea
IDE Larnaca Plant Awarded Cyprus Industry Innovation award
The Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation has recognised excellence in industry with The 2007 Best Innovation Award to IDE Technologies Larnaca Desalination Plant. The award was presented to IDE LWP Plant Manager, Dr. Erineos Koutsakos by the President of Cyprus Mr. Demetris Christofias. In a special ceremony held at the Hilton hotel, in Nicosia on Thursday 26th June 2008.
IDE Transaction wins award for Hadera deal
Hadera transaction won the Deal of the Year price for as EMEA desalination/water deal of the year for 2007 by Project Finance Magazine.

IDE signs contract to build China's largest plant
IDE signed a contract to build China's largest desalination plant for energy firm Tianjin SDIC (who operates under the Chinese government's energy authority) in a deal worth $119 million. The seawater desalination facility will be erected in a power plant located 200 kilometers northeast of Beijing. The desalination plant is expected to begin operation toward the end of 2008.
IDE wins 2 desalination projects in India
IDE is expanding its activity in India by winning two projects to supply a total of 3 MVC desalination units for $9.5 million. Both projects are repeat orders by existing customers, and deliveries are due over the next 12-15 months.
