IDE short listed by GWI for 3 categories in the Global Water Awards 2009

IDE Technologies Ltd. ("IDE") is proud to have been nominated and short listed by GWI for 3 categories in the Global Water Awards 2009: "Desalination Company of The Year", "Desalination Plant of The Year" and "Power & Water Plant of The Year". We would be honored if you would vote for IDE in each of these categories.

As you know, 2009 was a phenomenal year for IDE, which took our industry leadership to a whole new level. The major highlights appear below:
Winning of Israel’s Sorek 150M m3/year SWRO Project as a lead partner. One of the world’s largest and most complex SWRO projects to date, the Sorek plant features the industry’s first-ever large-scale usage of 16" membranes, and will provide water at ~$0.50/m3, lower than ever before.
Successful operation of Israel’s mega-size Hadera Plant, the world’s largest SWRO plant in operation. Besides ongoing operation of this plant, during the year we won tenders to increase its capacity from 100M to 127M m3/year, and the capacity of the Ashkelon Plant from 108M to 118M m3/year.
Commissioning of China’s 100M m3/year MED project, one of the largest projects in this fast-growing region.
Winning of the Chennai City Metro Water 100M m3/year project (as part of a joint venture), India’s largest RO desalination project to date.

These examples illustrate the industry’s recognition of IDE as a leading desalination company and its appreciation of IDE’s engineering capabilities, operational know-how and business expertise.

We hope you will consider our record as you cast your vote for the GWI contest, and that you will give us your support in all three desalination award categories!
