IDE is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy and Terms of Use Policy (“Policy“) has been created to inform you about how we manage, collect, store and use the information you provide in connection with our website (the “Services“). Moreover the terms under this Policy, constitute a legal agreement between you and IDE and its corporate affiliates.

Neither the information, nor any opinion contained in this site constitutes a solicitation or offer by IDE or its affiliates, to buy or sell any securities or engage in any other transaction with IDE group or any other person or entity.

Our Policy mainly explains:

  • Your rights with regard to the collection of information.

If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use our Services or provide IDE with your Personal Information (as defined below) and stop using this website and our Services. IDE specializes in providing small to large cost-effective desalination solutions, and has a well-proven track record in large-scale membrane and thermal desalination, including some of the largest plants worldwide, such as in China, India, US, Australia and Israel. IDE also has proven experience in ground-breaking industrial water treatment plants that deliver a reliable, sustainable and economical solution for industry. Furthermore, IDE develops a growing portfolio of economic green water treatment solutions for municipalities and industries. In creating customized, end-to-end solutions for its customers, IDE leverages its proprietary technologies and skills in project management, operations, support and financing, all built through close to 50 years of leadership in the water industry.

Information Collected

Please note that the scope of this Policy is limited only to information collected by us through your use of the Services. We may collect information about you when you visit and interact with this website. Some of this information may be automatically collected, and some is collected when you interact with the website. The type of information that may be automatically collected may include the date and time of access of the website, the internet protocol address of the computer that you are using, the domain and host from which you access the internet, your browser software and operating system, and the specific activities you are engaged in, while visiting the website (“Log Data”).

Furthermore, information from which you can be personally identified may also be collected by us at the website, including your name, postal address, email address, telephone, company/organization, role/title, country, and, where you contact us as a business representative, other business-related information relevant to our engagement with you (such as areas of responsibility, professional experience relevant to your inquiry, and information included in your message and any attachments) (referred to as “Personal Information”). We will collect Personal Information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to us, by providing us with your details during conferences and exhibitions, or by filling in your details in the contact form found in our website.

You are not legally required to provide us with Personal Information. However, certain Personal Information may be necessary for us to respond to you, provide certain Services, or enable certain features and functionality of the Website (for example, to handle inquiries submitted through the contact form). Where we request information that is required for these purposes, the relevant fields will be marked as required.

Lawful Basis

Where applicable law (including the GDPR) requires a lawful basis for processing, we process your Personal Information only where we have a valid lawful basis to do so.

Performance of Contract and Provision of Services. The lawful basis for collecting and using most of your Personal Information in connection with IDE’s Services is that such processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Where we request Personal Information that is marked as mandatory, failure to provide such information may mean that we cannot provide you with the relevant Services or respond to your request.

Marketing Communications. Where required under applicable law, the lawful basis for sending you marketing communications regarding IDE’s Services is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal). Where applicable law permits, we may also send marketing communications based on our legitimate interests, subject to your right to opt out or object to direct marketing at any time.

Personalization and Legitimate Interests. If you have used IDE’s Services in the past, we may, where permitted by applicable law, match information we collect with other information we previously collected to personalize and tailor the content we send you and make it more relevant to your interests. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing you with better user experience, provided that those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. You have the right to object to this processing at any time by contacting us at contact@ide-tech.com, or adjusting your preferences in your account settings. If you object, we will stop personalizing content sent to you, though we may continue to send non-personalized communications where we have another lawful basis to do so.

Disclosure and Transfer of Information

We do not share your Personal Information with third parties except as described in this Policy or as permitted or required by applicable law. Where we share Personal Information, we do so based on an appropriate legal basis and subject to contractual and security protections, as required by applicable law.

Our Role

Unless otherwise stated in this Policy or in a separate agreement with you, IDE acts as a data controller (or equivalent role under applicable law) with respect to Personal Information that we collect and process for our own purposes in connection with the Services, including information relating to our business customers, account users, billing and payment administration, and any information we process for IDE’s own purposes (such as operating the Services, analytics, security, fraud prevention, compliance, and marketing).

Where you use the Services on behalf of an organization and you or your organization submit, upload, or otherwise make available Personal Information of third parties (for example, your customers, end users, contractors, or employees) through the Services (“Customer Data“), your organization is the data controller (or equivalent role) for such Customer Data and IDE acts as a data processor (or equivalent role), unless otherwise agreed in writing. In these circumstances, IDE will process Customer Data only on documented instructions from your organization, as set out in our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and as required by applicable law. Individuals whose Personal Information is included in Customer Data should direct requests to exercise their data protection rights (such as access, deletion, or objection) to the relevant organization.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
